Currently I'm pretty boring; just looking to move somewhere in PA, probably Philadelphia.

ABOUT ME

Probably that I'm reliable and on the flip side, stubborn. I think they'd say I'm a good person too. In the moral sense I mean. Perhaps overly practical too. >.>

PHILOSOPHY

Do not do unto others that which is hateful to yourself. The rest is commentary.

Oh Hillel! It's true though, ultimately morality is fairly simple. Just be a good guy and do good things.

I think a major problem with a lot of people these days is that they don't assume personal responsibility for their lives and the world around them. You can't expect someone else to do it. And even if there WAS someone else to do it, it doesn't excuse you from your own responsibilities to yourself and to others and to our planet.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd be willing to help cook, do dishes and clean. I don't know, never done this before, let me know and I'll probably do it. I'm pretty low-to-no maintenance if you want me to be.

SCIENCE. Lately I've been deep into practical applications of philosophy and thought. Music in general (I like most of it). I'm really big into food. I've been pretty big into religion lately as well, although I'm not really a practitioner of any faith right now. Guess I'm still looking for what's right.

I'm a pretty huge gamer if you're into that kinda thing. Sports, card games, video games, doesn't matter, I like to do it. Lots. I'm pretty competitive you see.

Some random music: Haujobb, Howling Wolf, Delerium, Depeche Mode, Townes Van Zandt, Elliot Smith, Cat Power, Led Zeppelin, Idan Raichel, Bella Morte, David Broza, Massive Attack. I could go on and on so I'll stop here.

Movies: 7 years in Tibet, Pi, Cube, Ergo Proxy, Death Note, LotR. Science Fiction, Thrillers and fantasy in general. Huge fan of movies that make you think too. Yay shutter island, the machinist and momento!

Books: HUGE fan of etgar keret, sherman alexie, octavio pas, neil gaiman and steven king. I'll read most things at least once, I'm a pretty big reader.

Jumping into a lake holding onto a boats anchor. In retrospect that was incredibly stupid but I was young and didn't know better. And it was AMAZING.

First time in a helicopter was too.

Umm...I grew up with a native american medicine man, so I know some natural living kind of deals. Aka, give me a hatchet and I can build a wigwam (think teepee without a hole at the top), make a fire and spear fish. =P

I have a very strong background in the audio industry too. I can mike things, I can set up sound systems and run a radio station if I had to. ;o

I also have some understanding of kabbalah, some background in cooking as well.
