ABOUT ME

I'm a typical french guy. I've been working since a few years and lived in an appartment in Montmartre, Paris for 7 years, before i quit it all and came to live in Thailand.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to talk about philosophy and politics, but i prefer not with people that don't know me really well, my friends would tell you i can sometimes be annoying on those subjects.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My best experience with CS people was in Budapest where i stayed during a week with a friend (Aurélien, also on CS, works in Krakow, Poland), it was a really good time meeting new people and visiting this beautiful city. We were hosted by a great couple from Brazil that were working/studying there and met each night a lot of couchsurfers at different parties including Tim, an american CS ambassador who did a great job at organizing meetings this summer.
I went to some CS parties in Paris, met some couchsurfers.
I hosted some people at my place in Paris from Romania, Italy, China, Thailand, Chile, Germany, Portugal, Brazil. Of course, now that i manage a bungalow resort on an island in Thailand, i cannot really host in the couchsurfing sense anymore.

Centres d'intérêt

I'm mainly interested in music, going out to shows or festivals (i've been to dour, atp, hellfest, wacken, rock am ring, summer breeze, roadburn, mellotronen, fields of rock amongst others) and playing music as i am a guitarist.
I listen to lots of different musical styles but mainly those that mix rock, metal, hardcore, jazz. I've created a webzine with friends and i'm reviewing albums for it : Eklektik (www.eklektik-rock.com).
I love reading, mostly about philosophy, politics, sociology.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I'm a big music fan (rock, metal, jazz) and i used to play guitar in a rock/fusion band (Abzalon - www.myspace.com/abzalon) in Paris. I try to read as much as possible, i enjoy reading Chuck Palahniuk, Bret Easton Ellis, Poppy Z Brite, Clive Barker, Anne Rice, Michel Houellebcq... and books abour philosophy, history or politics.
