About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn, laugh, share, rinse, repeat.
ABOUT ME
I don't like writing about myself, but if I have to...
I am told I approach life differently than most. I rarely ask those delivering this comment to clarify if this is a good thing or not. Instead I just assume it is and move on.
I appreciate simplicity. I love learning how everything works so I can either build my own version or at least repair the one I have. This goes for everything - including food.
PHILOSOPHY
"Ride the wave wherever it takes you"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I sleep on your furniture. I'd like to cook with/for you, if you'll allow it. I can also do other things, like build and fix stuff. I'd also like a laugh or two, if you have the time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've yet to couch surf through this website, but I have done a fair share in the past. I've also hosted a few, too, in Mwanza, Tanzania. I've been pretty impressed by the whole concept.
Interests
I realize there likely isn't a "character cap" for this section, but there is for my ability to fill it in. Is using the word "everything" too generic for something like this? It's nearly true. I have entirely too much interest in most everything. Most. There are a few topics that will make my eyes glaze over or my blood boil. For the most part, however, I find many things interesting and enjoy learning and sharing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Shantaram - amazing book. Truly didn't want it to end.
The Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - another book (series) that I never wanted to end.
Music: not a big fan of country.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I begrudgingly climbed mount Kilimanjaro and earned the nickname "Mzee mkali" from my friends. That basically means "grumpy elder" in swahili. Their friendship has been put on notice.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Cooking, I guess...? Design, fabrication, a bit of IT. Being a massive geek.
Learn: Being a better geek. Being a better cook. Being a better person. New stories. New skills.
