My name is Derek and I live in Honolulu, HI. I love the outdoors and playing basketball. I am working to become a teacher and hopefully work in deaf education as well. If you need a place to stay in Hawaii, feel free to ask, the worst that can happen is that I say no.

I love reading, Shantaram changed my life. My favorite movies include City of God, A guide to recognizing your saints, and Kung Fu Panda to name a few. I have an eclectic music selection but prefer underground hip-hop and heavy metal.
