CURRENT MISSION
To see people as they see themselves
ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm a junior at Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, USA. I'm traveling abroad to study at Maastricht University in the Netherlands for the Fall 2011 semester.
I run track (throw the javelin), love to play sports, and enjoy hiking or just talking a walk. I'm very excited to spend time in Europe and learn. I'm more of a solo traveler, but I like to connect with people where I am and get to know them.
PHILOSOPHY
The pursuit of deeper insight, understanding, empathy, and knowledge.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm hoping to meet and learn with as many different people as I can while I'm in Europe. CouchSurfing seems like the perfect way to meet new people who want to share their story and experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love to travel and finally found a way to do so inexpensively while I'm studying in Europe.
Interests
playing any kind of sport, throwing Javelin, philosophical conversations, going out with friends, watching movies, reading books, finding a really good song :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Canoeing (and portaging) in the Canadian boundary waters, backpacking in New Mexico, biking through Belgium, running a half marathon, completing a clean of 225 lbs; the achievement of what you thought was beyond your physical ability.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would say that listening is the most important skill that I have been taught, and can share with others. My tidbit of wisdom: 5 minutes on the phone is worth an hour of texting or email conversation.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, France, Ghana, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
