Hello everybody!

My name is Jonghyun but you can just call me Pete. I'm from Canada, but temporary living in the UK with the Youth Mobility Visa! I was in uni in Canada for three years until I thought I needed a break and thus the UK! I am notorious for my spontaneous trips (and by spontaneous, I mean like two or three days in advance) and just enjoy strolling through the city/town at night. I'm pretty easy going and live by the philosophy of "why not?".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently went on a three week trip to central Europe and the Balkans. A lot of people recommended me to try it as I love meeting people and just being immersed into the culture! Apparently it's the best way to travel and the community is great so I thought, why not?

- don't really have a favourite genre as it all just depends on my mood (sometimes I'll want to listen EDM and then just some nice jazz at other times. Sometimes even metal :D)
- but I can listen to House of the Rising Sun by The Animals or Hero by Enrique Iglesias at any time

- all time favourite: The Matrix (the first one)

Books
- 1984 by George Orwell kinda struck a chord

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have had some interesting times travelling of which I love sharing with other people. Lots of people seem to be great at cooking but I have to admit that I am not one. HOWEVER, if you want some Masterchef level instant noodles, I am your guy. Otherwise, if you wanna cook together, I would love to learn and help out! I am happy with staying in and getting to know you, exploring the town, or just having an adventure! I'm super open with whatever happens and also, I'd like to think I'm good company :)
