About Me

Born in Seoul, spent my childhood around Toronto, living in Montreal. Trained in Microbiology & Immunology, Taekwondo, and trumpet and piano. Currently completing a master's in nursing. In my spare time, I'm cycling around town or at the gym powerlifting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's the best way to meet people local to where I'm visiting. I'd love to share knowledge and experiences. I'd also love it if you wanted to explore your city together

Music, Movies, and Books

On a daily basis, I listen to artists like alt-J, Tame Impala, The Black Keys, and Arcade Fire, but I'm also a fan of Dvorak, Debussy, Miles Davis, Roy Hargrove, and Kendrick Lamar.

Not a huge movie buff but I like The Breakfast Club, 500 Days of Summer, Ex Machina, and Whiplash. I really like documentaries, though!

My favourite fictions are Memoirs of a Geisha, The Handmaid's Tale, and The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared. I'm more into nonfiction, including The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, Mountains Beyond Mountains, and The Omnivore's Dilemma.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to pick one thing I've done that stands above all else, but to get a snapshot of who I am: I've biked through a snowstorm, bungee jumped into a lake, and slept through an earthquake.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can practice English, French and Korean with you. I'm also learning Japanese right now. I'll gladly exchange music lessons for your local culinary secrets!
