I'd like to think I'm a relaxed, tidy individual however I guess that is for others to judge! Of course I enjoy travelling and meeting people from all over the world. I am from the U.K originally and have spent time living and working in Australia and now I am doing a similar experience in Canada. I'm in the process of moving to Australia on a permanent basis as I love the country....and the weather! As we are not known for our quality food in the U.K what I really like to do is taste different dishes from the places I visit and I also like to cook myself when I can. I enjoy visiting cities and places of nature, there's nothing better for me than a testing walk followed by a view!

Although I've been a member on couch surfing since 2015 I am yet to use the app. My girlfriend and I are currently residing in Edmonton, Canada and we are planning a trip around Canada before heading back home in the summer 2019 and we thought we would give couch surfing a go since we have heard good things about it from people we have met. I don't have a place to offer as my own for others just yet however depending how our experience goes I may look into hosting as I settle in Australia.

I guess I can't say there is one particular thing that I have a passionate interest in more so than any other. I feel I have a general likening to a lot of things and for me sometimes is just the simple things like good food, exploring a new place or just taking a hike.

My music taste tends to differ year by year, I have always enjoyed bands and a bit of classic rock and roll however these days I lean towards a bit of motown with some cheesy 80's pop thrown in there!

I tend to watch more tv series than movies these days however again I'm easily pleased and enjoy watching everything from 'trainspotting' to the 'avengers'.

I have started to read a little more these last few years and really enjoy getting into a good book. I read the classic 'to kill a mockingbird' which was great but I love reading books by the travel writer 'Bill Bryson' and I recommend anyone that hasn't to do so!

The experience that sticks with me the most would be when I first set off travelling/backpacking by myself in 2015. I left my job and sold up my belongings with a one way ticket to Australia via South Africa and South East Asia. It's been a journey that I think about often and one that I'm still kind of riding with till this day.

Well I am a qualified electrician by trade so if you have any electrical queries or need a light fitting changing just let me know! I'm also not too bad at cooking so I can always whip up something edible.
I can share and recommend places that I've visited from my experience. It would also be great to hear other peoples travel stories and recommendations on countries I have yet to visit.
