Hi, I am Jonas!
I am a third year law and, by now, a fourth year history student.
Born and raised in Heidelberg, the most beautiful city in Germany, but currently living in Freiburg, just marginally less beautiful.
I am a culturally open and interested person, always up for a discussion about basically any topic, most likely (but not necessarily) over a beer or two.
My goal in life at the moment is finishing my studies and getting into a PhD program. When I finish this, I don't know where life will take me yet.
I am trying to live with less and to focus on the important things, but not always succeeding at it.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

It has been some time since I have been active on CouchSurfing, but back in the day, I have made some great experiences staying at people's homes and hosting some myself. I hope the community is still a bit like what it was, and that I can live through some more adventures.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I really can't point to a style of music I like best, there are a bunch of artists I like. Mostly electro, with a good measure of hip hop, ambient and rock/metal mixed in there. I also like classical music.

Same goes for movies, although I have soft spot for Sci-Fi and Fantasy in particular. I've also been getting into some soviet-era movies through university lately.

I don't get the time to read a lot non-university literature anymore, but The Lord of the Rings is and always will be the greatest literary work of all time.

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

I'm a good cook and a decent barman.
If there is interest and we find a spot, I'd love to go on climbing trips and could teach belaying and basic technique.
Obviously, I will help keep the place clean and help with the household as is expected of me.
I can be social but also keep to myself and be independent.
