Chi sono
CURRENT MISSION
To try new things, get out of my comfort zone, and help people laugh
ABOUT ME
I'm a giant man who specializes in improv comedy, trying new things, and seeing over the heads of large crowds.
I was born, raised, and still reside in Baltimore, MD - a city that is WAY cooler than how it's portrayed on The Wire. I've lived all over the city and have a pretty good feel for it if you're looking for activity suggestions.
PHILOSOPHY
1. Always do what scares you.
2. The journey of 1000 miles starts with one step.
3. Life is all about making yourself -and those around you- better!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I tell people about it all the time :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I've met up with Simone in Berlin for drinks, surfed with Brand and Lewis in Atlanta, and with Steve in San Diego. I'm looking forward to hosting soon, though my roommate isn't big on the idea so right now it's restricted to just meeting up...
Interessi
I absolutely LOVE watching and performing improv comedy. The feeling of slipping into the flow of creative hilarity with a team of people is unbeatable.
Me and fruits/vegetables are close friends. I love talking about health in general. I particularly enjoy artistic skills, of any and all sorts.
I'm almost always listening to audiobooks when doing mundane tasks. I like reading, though I find prefer outlining nonfiction to better retain the information.

Musica, film e libri
Books: Anything the inspires, challenges, and interests me. Which is to say, I just re-read Dr. Seuss's "Oh The Places You'll Go".
Honestly though, I connect with books that focus more on changing the way I think: The Power of Now, A New Earth, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Predictably Irrational, Blink, Superfreakonomics, etc etc.
As for fiction, lately I've enjoyed City of Thieves, Stardust, Everything Matters!, Beat the Reaper, The Alchemist, and Dutch Uncle (total pulp fiction that led to me nearly losing my buddy in Munich on my way to Prague... long story).
Food: Anything and everything, although I do lean towards the healthy side. (However brownie fudge sundaes = ultimate kryptonite.)
I'll try anything once - typically more than once if I hate it the first time. Me and almond butter = great buddies. Me and oysters = not on speaking terms.
Music: Indie rock junkie, though I appreciate just about everything.
Movies: Top 3 favorite movies: The Princess Bride, Big Fish, The Station Agent. I don't see many movies these days (I'd rather spend two hours catching up with someone rather than just sitting next to them...) though I did like Inception, and Zombieland was phenomenal.
TV: Don't own a TV, but once my life settles down a bit I have every intention of watching The Wire.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
Camping in a beautiful valley beneath the Swiss alps.
Staying with an adorable family in Oaxaca, Mexico for 3 weeks.

Improv comedy - want to try it? :) I'm always game and I love talking about the foundations of improv. I'm also a pretty decent juggler. And I recently tried stand up comedy, so I have a few insights there as well.
