About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live in the present and experience adventure.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town out in the country and developed a passion early on to explore all there is in the world. Getting to know people and the culture is my favorite part of traveling. I like to be outside as much as possible. I know Spanish and studied abroad in Spain for a semester, but I haven't had much opportunity to use it. I also know a little bit of French.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just recently bought a house and have two couches so I'm interested in hosting occasionally. I'm also planning on going to Europe in June and would love to stay with people and get to know them. My sister and her friend are also traveling with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a lot of people sleep on my couch, but none of them were referred to me from couchsurfing.org

Interests

Running, swimming, skiing, biking, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, traveling, the outdoors, fishing, going out to new restaurants, trying new beer. I want to learn to brew my own beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Cinderella Man is my favorite movie.
Blue Like Jazz is one of my favorite books.
I love folk rock music like Mumford and Sons & Needtobreathe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I watched Spain win the World Cup from inside a bull fighting arena and then partied and danced with all the locals. We even swam in the city fountain.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good with technology...I've built websites and work on computers all day.

I know some Spanish, French, and of course English and I'd be happy to teach anyone.

I don't feel like I fit into American culture and love discussing it. I grew up in a very conservative small town and now live in a very liberal city and I feel somewhere inbetween.
