Have been on the road/sea/air since Dec '07 and only recently found out about couch surfing from a friend i met in Sydney. Caught the travelling bug when i went around europe for 6wks in 2006, but before that have travelled to Africa & America. I think the most appealing thing about couch surfung to me would be the chance to get to know the place as a local
