ABOUT ME

I'm passionate about having adventures. I've cycle toured 10,000 miles through Chile, Peru, British Columbia, Alaska, Norway, Spain, France and the UK; trekked and been white water rafting through the Himalayas; been on a glaciology research expedition and trekked in Patagonia; and generally had an awesome time having adventures. I equally love doing green business. I've setup various ethical businesses and my next project is to build some eco homes. I work super hard on all these things and love every minute of it. I wouldn't get up in the morning if I didn't think amazing things could happen.

I've received incredible kindness and hospitality from so many people all over the world that I feel indebted to the world. This hasn't been through anything as organised as Couch Surfing - just amazing people inviting me into their homes as a stranger. I want to pay back all these favours and acts of kindness.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had so many amazing experiences on my adventures that its hard to know where to start. Here are a few...

I cycled alone across the Atacama Desert in South America and witnessed the most incredible things. One night it was so quiet I could hear my own heartbeat. Other nights I cycled and witnessed the sun set, the moon rise, the stars arc over the sky, and then the most intense sunrises I've ever seen.

Whilst on safari in the Indian jungle we came across a huge Bengali Tiger that walked right passed us. We were on the back of an open back jeep and at one stage it stopped, turned to face us and growled. I got some great photos.

In Alaska my brother and I had Grizzly Bears outside our tent door at night. We woke with a shadow getting bigger and bigger against the side of the tent. It went beyond fear - I've never been so alert, quiet and absolutely still in my life. I got a massive adrenaline rush.
