Overview
About Me
I'm a student living in Edinburgh (I'm in university accommodation, so I can't host any surfers yet, sorry!). I've been interested in travelling for a couple of years now, and I'm desperate to see as much of the world as I can, and to meet as many interesting people as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've not really participated yet. I'm living in university accommodation, so it could be a bit difficult for me to offer up a place to sleep. I'm very interested in travelling and meeting new people, so couchsurfing could be absolutely perfect for me!
Interests
Travelling's one of my main interests, along with languages. I try to run when I can to stay in shape. I'm also very big on cooking, which I think I'm getting quite good at (no fires yet!). I read a little - it's mostly non-fiction just now, but I've got some interest in works by Camus and Sartre, amongst others. The more boring side of me watches a few movies and TV shows per week.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most exciting thing I've ever done is that I lived in China the year after finishing high school. I volunteered as an English teacher in the western province of Xinjiang, where the summers can be as hot as 40º, and the winters as cold as -40º (I had the 'pleasure' of seeing both).
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach English as a foreign language online to earn some money, so I'd be happy to offer a few lessons to any hosts. I also know a thing or two about Chinese cookery (or more general Western cookery). I also speak some French and Spanish, and a little bit of Chinese, so if those languages are of any use to you, I'd be happy to share what I know.
