Hi! I'm an 18-year-old Finnish student who loves all kinds of art (especially performing arts, theatre and the sorts). I tend to be your typical know-it-all, be the subject about culture, computers, politics or something else entirely.

I'm spending October interrailing in Eastern Europe. This is my first considerable travelling experience alone, and I'm excited to try out Couchsurfing in the process. Looking forward to meeting tons of new people from around the continent!

I'm a debater to the core. I've been competing in debating for a few years, practicing my rhethorics through acting and learning about important issues in my studies. I'm also a renowed humorist and an everyday stand-up comedian. With these traits, I love conversations that last long into the night, being both informative and absolutely hilarious! I'm a christian and thus obviously also an active theology debater.

Not a fan of alcohol, but definetly a fan of sugar and butter. Cooking is a lifestyle!

I got a free interrail ticket from the DiscoverEU program, so I', going on rail for the whole of October 2018. I've been curious about Couchsurfing before, but since railing is all about authentic experiences with people around the world, it feels like the perfect place for enhancing my interrail!

I'm quite excited to meet new people from different parts of Europe. The community on this site feels so amazingly warm and forthcoming, that I'm just buzzing to get to know all of you here!

BOOKS
As a reader and writer, I'm a book fanatic. My bookshelf is always crammed full, yet I stay a frequent of my town's second-hand bookstores. Naming my Favourite Book Ever as been an impossible task for as long as I've been able to read, so here are my 3 favourite books / series right now!

- Memory of Water by Emmi Itäranta: A beautifully woven dystopian novel from a world, where drinkable water is running out. Serious and thought-provoking, yet charming and impossible to put down.

- A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin: The book series behind A Game of Thrones. I've finally finished reading the published ones, and can't wait for the sixth book! Martin's world-building, character design and plot structures rouse awe in me every time I pick up his books.

- Shakespeare on Toast by Ben Crystal: The absolute best introduction to the Bard's works. I love it.

MUSIC
Give me a catchy beat or some mind-provoking lyrics and I'm happy, extra-happy with both in the same song.

MOVIES
Dead Poets' Society always gets me buzzing. I've marathoned all the Harry Potter movies in one sitting once too.

I'm your common know-it-all, often annoyingly much so. Especially culture, philosophy and all things art are certain all-night conversation topics for me. Three years of competitive debating on a national level have made me a vigorous discussionist.

I'm always happy to share things about myself and my culture :)
I especially know a ton of weird Finnish idioms and culture facts!

LEARN
I'm excited to learn about the culture, history and must-visit-spots of the places I visit. Even more importantly, every person on this planet has something amazing to share, and I want to hear, see and feel it all.
