About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Forging a path of adventure through our bizarre world.

ABOUT ME

I am a student of literature and philosophy dividing his time between writing, reading, travelling and photography. I also dream of someday making music for a living or working in a theater. I tend to enjoy the smallest things: the sounds and smells of a metropolis, the first taste of a good wine, certain type of light, etc. While I like to get things done, I enjoy a good party as much as anyone. I have spent my life so far absorbing and living the sights and wonders of the world, soon I will start sharing them, through words, pictures or music, or all at once.

A few years ago I made the decision to leave my native Finland for good and spend the greater part of my life abroad. I have since spent a year studying in France and I still stand behind my decision.

That is why I registered on CS, to meet new people, to learn about different cultures and to ease my transition from one country to the next. I have had great couchsurfing experiences and would thus like also to help others as well. For the idea of a community of travelers helping each other to get ahead and preferably not starve on their long and arduous path simply sounds great. And what better way to break the crushing weights of western brainwashing consumerism than to allow the ideas and experiences of different cultures to flow freely from couch to couch?

PHILOSOPHY

Exploration is the one thing that pays itself back a thousand times over. And even if it doesn't, no matter, it is still there, making sure you never ever reduce your life into a petty, television fueled, shadow-like existence.

Teach, Learn, Share

Do not be afraid to be poor while on the road. Actually, the less money you actually have the more you will learn about yourself. A passionate traveler always finds a way, always summons the knowledge to survive. It is fear that eats us, not hunger.
