About Me

CURRENT MISSION

see the world, try to understand the people, enjoy life... (another mission is avoiding clichés... working on it)

ABOUT ME

Like to laugh, travel, sport, party, soak up other cultures. Like music, movies, adrenaline,... basicly enjoy live.

Superpowers I try to achieve:
- flying: would save me a fortune on plane tickets
- invisibility: I could stop bothering shaving (or wear clothes!)
- omnipresent disorientation: be here, be there... but never exactly knowing where you are... sounds cool but also a bit useless...
- mindreading
- all-languages-power: seems to be needed when I want to read peoples mind abroad no?
- open-eyes-while-sneezing-power

Of course, I would only use them for the good!

Always free to ad me on facebook!!

PHILOSOPHY

Open minded. Ecclectic. Seeing truth in a lot of things, respecting other opinions.
I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking for fun experiences, friendly people and lasting memories.
Try to build up my experience with CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a Mexican and American friend stay over here in Belgium the holidays in December 2010. My brother and I met them in Playa del Carmen, Mexico last summer and now they were in Europe so we had to let them see the best of Belgium (Gent, Brussels, parties, beers, chocolate,...)
Also, by coincidence, picked up a lovely girl from Chile, so the whole continent of Amerika was represented!
Spent christmas eve dinner with us, was great!!!!
Picked up the travelling vibe again and are now looking forward to a big trip from May to August 2011. Getting of in South Korea (first weeks of May), then Vancouver (last weeks of May). Continue the travel in Eastern Europe (Germany, Czech Rep., Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Greece) and Spain & Portugal. Will leave from Lisbon to Rio de Janeiro late July. Spent a month in Latin-America (Brazil, Bolivia & Chile).

All kind of music from rock to electro, hiphop, classic oldies.
Life needs a diverse soundtrack.

Travel books, history, fiction, non-fiction...
Also I like urban street art, like Banksy (got some graffiti replicas in my appartment)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Great experience mountainbiking through the Mexican jungle, travelling through beautifull sceneries, sleeping with very friendly people in remote little mountain villages.

Also driving on the "Great Ocean Road" in Australia. The name of the route is not stolen :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you curse in over 4 languages ;-)
Also, I'd like to think I am good in basketball, soccer & badminton.
Could you learn also something about the Belgian political system, since we are recently WORLD CHAMPION in forming a governement (more than 250 days after elections are politicians are still trying to form a governement here)... It's rather boring, but hey, at least we are world champion in something (we beat Iraq), so that's enough reason for a party :)
