ABOUT ME

I'm a doctoral student sleeping over and under history books. That gets intensely boring at times, no doubt. Usually, I'm an easy-going person. If it happens that the everyday seems like a Monday on repeat, I'd rather keep quiet. On occasion, when a Monday feels like a Friday, I'd gladly take that.

Interests

Reading tops the list of my interests. In the past few years I have read Jose Saramago's four novels over eight times. The one that I'm reading now — Bohumil Hrabal's Dancing Lessons for the Advanced in Age — it's the first time I'm reading it, truth be told. I drink a lot of coffee, hand roll my cigarettes, and watch films. Bob D and Bob M, Jefferson Airplane, The Mamas and the Papas, The Stones and the Beatles, Paco, Chico, Banhart, Beirut are my other big and small thrills. I believe Alberto Santos Dumont invented the airplane. And films, ah, I love (most of) them. I like to discover a city through literary works based on it. Of course, I don't mean guidebooks.
