Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i was telling a friend of mine that i was going on vacation, she asked me if i would be staying in a hotel or if i was planning to go couchsurfing. I never heard of the concept and she told me that it is such a good way to meet new people instead of staying in a hotel on your own. Then she directed me to this app, sooo here i am!
