About Me

Certified weirdo, pretty good cook, and proud Cajun 🙆‍♀️😎😤

Currently living in OR, but have lived in TX and MT and am originally from LA! I just graduated and am hoping to settle in Portland for a few years. My top passions/interests are traveling (obviously), cooking, and learning. I love meeting new people, especially during travel! I especially appreciate being able to have honest, respectful, intellectual conversations with others, so if you also enjoy this, then don't be afraid to reach out! I have found the experience of traveling and getting to know others to be incredibly enriching and inspiring, so I'm excited to see where else I'll go/who else I'll meet :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I'm a broke, recently-graduated college student, BUT I also love meeting new people and getting to know others from around the world/different cultures! I haven't been on CouchSurfing for long, so I'm excited to see what awesome experiences I have coming my way (hopefully, at least)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled to Chicago on a whim (it's awesome!!)

Worked with lots of amazing people!!!

Developed amazing friendships!!

Teach, Learn, Share

(1) The quality of a relationship is dependent partly our ability to (and comfortability with) self-advocate
(2) Negative emotions are not necessarily bad/abnormal. It is (I believe) our perceptions of and actions based on those negative emotions that turn these into "bad" experiences. In other words, it is okay to not be okay!
(3) To start leveling up your relationships, practice small steps of vulnerability and start "saying the unsaid" (e.g. tell your friends how much you appreciate talking to them).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe I'm a great cook and am happy to share my skills during my stay! I am also a great story teller AND listener, so let's please exchange stories! :D
