Hi! I'm Jordan! I'm a huge nerd and I really enjoy meeting new people. Sometimes I like to stay in and play games or watch Netflix, while other times I like to hike and go exploring around the city. Recently, I spend most of my time studying Japanese and preparing for my move to Japan. I hope to either have long conversations in English or practice my Japanese with you :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be moving to Japan soon to pursue my master's degree at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU). I plan on arriving a week or two early to do some part-time job hunting and adjusting to the environment before my classes begin. I figured staying with a local would be a much richer experience than staying in a hotel!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have always hated the question "What kind of music do you like?". I never know how to answer. I listen to everything from alternative rock to nerdy anime music. It completely depends on my mood!

I really enjoy reading, some of my favorite series are Rangers Apprentice, Harry Potter, Eden's Gate, The Hunger Games, Outlander, etc.

I definitely enjoy a night in watching movies or my all time favorite Game of Thrones!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked in the U.S Army for 6 years as an Infantryman/Sniper. I was sent to Egypt with the Army for 9 months in 2016.

If English is not your first language, I would love to practice with you! Besides that, I can simply offer companionship. Is there any local place you have always wanted to go or something you wanted to try? I'd love to go with you! It's the least I could do :).
