About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to meet new people. I love hearing stories and learning about other cultures. We can go out and drink, party, and you can meet my awesome friends or I can be your awesome friend. I'm a xenophobe.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 24 year old white chicago dude. I am an amateur MMA fighter, training in american kickboxing and brazilian jiu jitsu. I love partying and talking to others. I also enjoy taking it easy, reading or watching movies. My favorite directors are Wes Anderson and Hayao Miyazaki. I am currently finishing up college to get a B.S. in geoscience.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a realist, politically independent, atheist, modernist who enjoys hearing others opinions. I also like to do masculine shit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet new people at home and abroad!

Interests

All kinds of movies, especially colorful ones with great plots and director techniques. Reading novels, especially modernist ones like "Darkness at Noon" or "Brave New World" etc. I enjoy learning and getting to know people. I respect intellectual conversation and watching weird shit on youtube. I also listen to super violent rap music (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9l-AjOx_AWw) and chill ass indie stuff (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYT99MVe_6E). I really hope you listen to those, haha. If you get through the entire Onyx album, I think we'll get along great.

Music, Movies, and Books

Golden-era hippity hop, alternative, indie, and punk music. I think James Joyce is overrated (have you seriously ever tried to read portrait of an artist as a young man? What about Ulysseys? smh). I like reading history books, especially the ancient world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have backpacked across the Sierra Nevada, been to the Arctic and helped in wildlife research. One (TWO TIMES NOW) time I partied until 9 am and felt like shit the next day. Some days I wake up, turn on Netflix, and that's literally all I do all day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a lot about rocks, the Earth, and calculus. I'd love to help you with English if it's not your first language! I can also teach you how to shoot (please note: I do not keep guns at my place, my buddy works at a shooting range and I have tons of experience shooting). If that didn't terrify you, feel free to message me about a place to stay!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you how to be a beast in any Call of Duty game. We can talk politics, computer security (I took a cryptography class once), cartoons, ideals or the days news. Or we can get wrecked at some bars and screw all that ideology shit, it's better reserved for old Russian novelists and teenagers on acid anyways.
