I'm seeking trips away whenever possible to improve my scope of the world. I haven't couch surfed before, but can't wait to explore this new community.

I'm always happy to be shown around somewhere by someone that can take me beyond the usual and am keen to meet people from the places I visit.

The holy trinity that is; Bowie, Iggy, Reed! Of course, The Boss, Mr Bruce Springsteen. Honourable mentions to the pioneers, geniuses and wunderkinds Patti Smith, Tom Waits, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, et al. I could go on for a very long time, and will, if you like.

My favourite album ever is Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen, but I tend to tell people it's Paul Simon's self-titled, because Nebraska is really sad. This is a sign of trust with the CS community. Favourite song of all time is "Heroin" by the Velvet Underground.

My favourite films are the original Star Wars trilogy, Chasing Amy, and Richard Linklater's "Midnight" trilogy. I've got a top 1000 or so that i'll happily prattle on about with anyone that'll listen.

I've never enjoyed a book more than The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, but George Orwell is my favourite ever writer.

I'm trying to learn both Spanish and Japanese. My progress is nothing impressive, but i'm always glad to language exchange and help improve the English of others in return. I'm always looking for film, music and book recommendations; let's drink whiskey and talk.

I'm a good cook and would be delighted to rustle something up as a thank you for your hospitality. That said, I'm really happy to fit around whatever it is you expect of your guests: take me anywhere you like, or leave me to wander on my own - whatever suits you. I'm very tidy and I don't snore.
