About Me

Hello, my name is Jordan
Born and raised in the city of Seattle.
I'm am a part time student/employee with hopes of taking time off to travel with the money I have been able to save. I have hopes of moving away from Seattle to continue education, and pursue a career in comedy and writing. I would consider myself to be a open minded young man, with a sense of humor and a drive for new experiences. My role models have always been introspective, respectful and gentlemanly, mostly athletes or comedians. I don't take myself to seriously, although I try to use the tools I have been given to become better as ofter as possible. I love sports. I like running, I do not like golf.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have aspirations of moving to a different city to continue my life. Why? The short answer is: I feel to comfortable in what I am doing and I want to make a change. I work and go to school.(In the same place my parents did and my friends and parents did.)

I want something more in my life, and through hosts generosity I will be able to find the place that will push me where I want to go.

Interests

I have always been a basketball fan. I have played my whole life and to this day I coach Middle school boys. I would describe my game as Ray Allen meets Dwayne Wade.

I love film. My most recent discovery about myself. I find the process fascinating and how a film can affect a person.

I love comedy. Stand up has really opened up my mind and the way I see the world. Also relating to my last interest, I love comedy films. Old and new, Woody Allen and Loius C.K. I would categorize myself as a comedy nerd.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is hip hop, Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Kaye West, J Cole, Biggie and Chance The Rapper. These are the front runners.

I also learned how to play almost every Dave Matthews Band song on guitar by the time I was 18. So, I like them.

My favorite book I have ever read was Steve Martins autobiography. He is a talented author and his life is one of truth and talent, which is what I find most compelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I regressed from all social media for a month. This being a conscious decision and somewhat of a challenge, I replaced my habit forming platforms with NY Times app on my phone and learned a lot about foreign policy. I think that was a pretty amazing for a kid of my age (20) in 2015.
