Overview
About Me
I'm a fun loving nerd, professional dance teacher, professional dance enjoyer, and love to meet new people! Aspiring jack of all trades.
I love making light of any situation and make plenty of small jokes. You don't have to laugh, I'll crack myself up.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Looking to make new connections and find shelter when I'm out and about.
Interests
Dancing is my life! I'm a professional partner dance teacher, and have taught dancing for about 6 years. Community dancing is my passion! I teach dance all day, get off work, then go dance in town. Love people getting together and passing dance down through generations as an oral tradition. It's pretty special. I recently started calling dances, too! (Like calling square dances, barn dances etc).
All kinds of video games! I'd play most anything once, I grew up with Nintendo. Eventually Playstation. My favorites are platformers and RPGs. Wanna play something?
Love cool beverages. A craft beer, a nice cup of hot tea with a little conversation.
Looking to visit all the national parks and super cool state parks. They're so neat! Got a cool trail in your area I should check out?

Music, Movies, and Books
Funky stuff, indie, jazz, bedroom pop, rock... most things with a good rythm and beat get me going. I have favorites but I like variety. Most of my favorites are a little niche, I tend to like individual songs more than artists and will listen to a song 5k times before moving on.
Loved Kurt vonnegut in high-school, now I read national geographic articles to help go to sleep. Read through the classics of Harry potter, hunger games, and a few others. Fantasy and dystopian stuff is cool.
Not much of a reader these days, trying to get back into it. Any recommendations for someone getting back into reading?
My default favorite movie would have to be "Moonrise Kingdom", by Wes Anderson. Not much of a movie/TV guy, but enjoy them when they're on. YouTube on the other hand...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Something I've done:
Organized a dance weekend for 450 people where we camped outside, cooked for each other, played music, had a lot of fun. Did some skinny dipping, danced till sunrise. It was an amazing time. Ask me for more details if you know how to contra dance. Happening again this August.
Seen:
Top of the smoky mountains. Breathtaking.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I can teach many kinds of dancing, and love to socially dance. Exposing people to dancing is my purpose in life. It would be easy and fun for me to show you some basic stuff.
Learn:
Anything! You have something cool to talk about or show? Please share. Variety is the spice of life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can give you a lesson or two on how do dance with anyone!
If you need help with anything I'd love to pitch in :)
