ABOUT ME

I'm just a simple guy that goes with the flow. Right now I'm studying bio-engineering at UC Berkley. It sounds as hard as it actually is, but I still love being in the lab. It's so cool...every time you walk in, there's a chance a new protein could be discovered that could change the world. I love that. Other than my job/studies, the majority of my time goes to food. It's an obsession. Eating it, cooking it, smelling it, shopping for it, the whole deal. The best is cooking and trying new foods with other friends and people that really appreciate it. I love my job, my studies, my appetite, and my girlfriend. What else could I ask for?

PHILOSOPHY

Anything can be accomplished over dinner and a nice beer. Put those two things together and you can always have one hell of a conversation. Life doesn't always have to be about people going from point A to point B. In the kitchen with a beer, everything makes sense, even if it's just for a little while.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm going to Europe with my best friends this Summer so I hope to meet some incredible people this way. I haven't ever been to anywhere in Europe outside of France, so I figure this is the best chance I have at getting to know different cultures that are so foreign to me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to couchsurfing but i've heard great things about it! I think its a great way to meet new people while travelling.

Interests

Swimming: I've been swimming my whole life. At Berkley I don't do it so much competitively like I used to, but my dream is to make it to the Olympics...maybe by becoming a citizen of a tiny country.

Food: I love food.

My Dog: Mugzy is the best buddy I could ever ask for. Love that guy.

Going to concerts: The best concert I ever went to was Kanye West and Jay Z. I love all kinds of music, but seeing those two rap legends on stage gave me chills.

Vicky Christina Barcelona, Moonrise Kingdom, Second rate horror films, Mean Girls...a bit of everything.

For books, right now i'm reading Game of Thrones. It's pretty awesome.

I listen to all sorts of music. My favorite definitely has to be house or techno, but literally anything other than screaming guys is cool with me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most beautiful/amazing thing I've ever seen/done is driving across Santorini on a 4x4, watching the sun set on the horizon of white houses.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about molecular engineering...but I have a feeling people wouldn't be too interested in that stuff. It's cool though because science makes the world what it is, so I'm always happy to share that. Other than that, we can chat about San Francisco and how it's the most amazing place ever. And we can talk about food, wine, beer, sports, movies, anything really.
