Overview
About Me
I am a nomad at heart. After spending more time than I would like to admit caught in the 9-to-5 grind, I am stepping back into the world with a renewed sense of wonder and curiosity.
I have an open mind and a deep interest in cultures and the stories behind them. My goal is to experience as many places as possible, to feel the dirt of different lands under my feet, and to connect through food and conversation. Sharing meals and stories is one of my favorite parts of traveling.
I travel light and keep things simple. I believe in leaving every place better than I found it, whether it is a trail in the wilderness or someone’s home. I am comfortable exploring on my own, but I will never turn down good company or a local guide who wants to share their world.
Here is my Instagram, which attempts to capture and share the things I am fortunate enough to see.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To help make the world a smaller place, and gain new lifelong friends with lifelong passions to share experiences from the world!
I’ve hosted many times over the years, but I’ve never had the chance to be hosted myself. With a world as vast and diverse as ours, I think it’s amazing to find those small pockets of connection that make it feel a little smaller. Couchsurfing has introduced me to incredible people and lifelong friends, and that motivates me to keep building this global community of wanderers and storytellers.
I’m here to connect, learn, and grow. I want to share experiences, exchange cultures, collect adventure buddies, and create memories that go beyond just visiting a place. For me, travel isn’t just about seeing new landscapes, it’s about meeting the people who bring those places to life. CS is the perfect way to make that happen.
Interests
I am always looking for activities that help me connect with both people and the planet. Rock climbing and diving are two passions that combine adventure with exploration, and acro yoga is my favorite way to build connection with others wherever I go.
If I am packing extra gear, it usually means my camera is coming along. Photography is a huge part of my travels, and I have a strong passion for astrophotography. I will go to great lengths—sometimes to the most remote places—just to capture a single photo of a starry sky. I also love chasing waterfalls, golden hour light, and sunsets, planning the perfect shot while enjoying the journey that gets me there.
For me, travel is about more than just seeing new places. It is about creating moments, sharing stories, and embracing the adventure that unfolds along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like to read all kinds of books, but I have not read much in a long time. I cannot make the time for it. I will find scary, or science-fiction movies, to watch ever so now and then. Music, however, I will listen to just about everything that has a guitar in it. I absolutely love going to concerts, especially if it is for a band I have never heard of before.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On a rock climbing trip with my circus friends, we ended up doing something completely unexpected. Instead of climbing, we rigged a static line between two massive rocks overlooking the ocean and hung silk fabric from it. One by one, we took turns flying on the silks as whales breached in the water 200 feet below us.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m kind of a nerd, so I can confidently dive into most technical topics. That often leads to fascinating conversations that explore philosophical ideas. I love teaching robotics (I used to be a coach) and sharing the joy of building things that move.
Outside of tech, I enjoy sharing recipes and cooking together; it’s one of my favorite ways to connect. I’m also always up for learning new acro yoga moves or teaching the basics to those interested.
One of the biggest things I am interested in sharing knowledge about is the way food is cultivated and cooked. This is part of my interest in sharing food, and I am very curious about new cuisines.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If I’m hosting, I generally work from home, so I’m usually around for some socializing during the day. On weekends, I’m more likely to be up for an adventure, whether that’s exploring outdoors, checking out local spots, or just sharing a good meal.
I have a comfortable space for guests and a passion for making it feel safe and welcoming. I truly prefer hosting travelers over people renting hotel rooms for that connection element.
My goal is to help build a global community of friends and worldly travelers.
