About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Have an awesome summer break to tell my students about when I return to LA to teach high school AP literature & debate in August!
ABOUT
Found a cheap ticket to Paris and said, Let's go! I teach high school (just before University), love the culture of conversation over here, and am very happy to get lost in new cities by picking stops from Metros/trams/buses that have cool names and going from there.
PHILOSOPHY
Ha! At one point I would surely have written many things here about the nature of discovery and awareness. I think I will now for a combination of Nike and Abe Lincoln--"Just do it" + Lincoln's quote, "When I do good, I feel good. That is my religion."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't participated much yet! Just today, 7/20/17, I met a trio of 2 Germans and an Iranian who use Couchsurfing in Europe and found this to be a very cool alternative to hostels!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The only experience I've had is a secondhand story from my sister, Arielle, who used Couchsurfing to find a place in Maui. Thought I had to check it out for myself!

Music, Movies, and Books
Many books! Especially Borges, Vonnegut, Abraham Lincoln as an author... tons. I like rock and rap and have a soft spot for terrible, catchy mainstream pop music when it plays at supermarkets.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My favorite moments are typically teaching stories, which are plentiful after 4 years of it. I have enjoyed performing a TED talk and a slam poem and in general amazing things relate to communication & connection for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach for a living, and infuse psychology and emotional awareness in lessons with novels and literature because I think people need much more education than standard school curriculum.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Music, beat boxing, rapping, writing, practicing Spanish, reading stories to your child perhaps (I love to read aloud), helping to cook, good stories, good conversation.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Switzerland, United States
