ABOUT ME

I'm fun, quirky, and a whole lot of funny. I'm athletic, smart, and a great storyteller. I am an artist, a teacher, a dreamer, a do-er. And I have a dog named Booger and a cat named Vader. That being said, I sometimes need some downtime and like naps. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Everyday, I ask myself if I am where I need and want to be. If yes, then I am content for the time. If not, I plan the next step. So....in other words...I'm a daydreamer, who actually takes the plunge.

* sports - I feel most myself and most at home on a court, on a field, or on a run. My goal is to run a marathon on every continent and on the north pole and to any race in every U.S. state.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

It had always been on "bucket list" to back pack across Europe. I realize that many of you are grand travelers, but I don't know a ton of people who frequently travel. So it felt like a big deal to me when I left for Europe for 9 weeks a couple of summers ago. I ran a marathon in Luxembourg, went to 22 cities and 9 countries, got lost (a lot), found my way, went to the city my mother was raised in, ate a lot of food, ran many miles, met up with friends, and much more. It was quite possibly the coolest thing I've done and the proudest I have ever been.

Favorite Run: One of my favorite runs was when I was running along the coast of Alaska, with ocean on one side, mountains on the other; whales on one side, bears on the other. Most recently, the marathon in Luxembourg takes the cake. It was like the entire city came out to cheer. To hear hundreds of people hanging out their windows screaming "Allez Allez" made my entire year.

A couple of years ago, I went to Costa Rica to take a student on a leadership trip. We did not stay in a tourist part of the country and I loved being out of my comfort zone. I could only understand about 1/3 of what was said to me and it forced me to interact with people differently. The food was amazing, as was the rainforest, gardens, agriculture techniques - the entire atmosphere was phenomenal. Pura Vida! :)
