About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Planning my visit to Malaysia - first time in Asia!
ABOUT ME
Grew up at the foot of the Pyrenees near Perpignan. The best area in the world!
Went to a music school near London for five years, then studied piano at the UdK in Berlin and worked as a pianist and teacher.
I then decided to ditch the (crazy) musician life, studied Geography and finally landed in Manchester (UK), where I now live and work building computer models of river systems.
I am half french, half catalan, with family on both sides of the border.
I'm generally a pretty quiet guy who listens more than he talks - although there are a few subjects that can really get me going. I love meeting people from different walks of life - I am always frustrated that I can only live my life in one way, so meeting people who do other things is a great substitute! On the other hand I also love meeting musicians.
I love the outdoors (especially mountains), sports, literature and good books, chess... And music :)
More recently I have discovered the wonderful world of Swing and have become an avid Lindy Hop and Balboa dancer.
PHILOSOPHY
Every head can come up with a good idea.

Interests
First and foremost is music: classical, but I am also crazy about jazz, although I can't play it very well (one of my great frustrations). Mostly when I have free time I go hiking, mostly in the Pyrenees. I am a Touch referee, a contact-free form of Rugby, and will be officiating in the World Cup in Malaysia in May; I love dancing Swing; languages, reading, eating and cooking. I am also a bit of a chess nerd... My friends will tell you that I like to argue - and they are probably right!
I also like to read books that are not connected to what I do, especially science.

Music, Movies, and Books
How long have you got?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked through the Pyrenees from coast to coast via the highest regions: an amazing five weeks.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: languages, music (classical theory, music history, piano, violin, etc..), touch rugby, Catalan geography, Swing dancing
learn: anything you're passionate about (although there are 2 or 3 subjects I can't seem to be able to get interested in...)
