About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a quiet guy passionate about traveling, reading, hiking, volunteering and learning about different cultures and countries. I love to find people with whom I can have interesting conversations and share experiences about these topics or any other that is enriching or open minding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is an excellent platform to know like minded people, as well as to travel more authentically, knowing locals in every destination. I also like contacting with travelers and expats in my city and listen to their stories: I think there´s always something you can learn from everyone, and so I try to :)

Interests

I am passionate about traveling, learning about different countries and cultures, hiking, reading several kinds of books and my professional career (strategy & marketing consulting for tourism destinations). I am also getting interested in psychology and personal development, as well as on cross-cultural research.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not specially keen on music nor movies, but I love reading many kinds of books. Some of my favourites are: The eight (Katherine Neville), The Celestine Profecy (James Redfield), Outliers (Malcolm Gladwell), Sinchronicity (Deepak Chopra), The Monk who sold his Ferrari (Robin Sharma), The inner peace (Jacques Philipe), etc. I am quite open to many types of books :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most memorable experiences have been climbing the Montblanc and nearby peaks (Alps,France), Many Santiago ways (Spain), trekking and skiing in Lapland's national parks (Finland), cross-country skiing and driving over the frozen sea (Helsinki, Finland), exploring the Atlas and climbing Mt. Toubkal and nearby peaks (Morocco), exploring the Tsar desert in India and discovering many remote spots in the Yunnan Province (China) from the rice terraces until the foothills of the Himalayas in Tibetan territory. Living abroad has always been also a very stimulating challenge that opens one´s mind and fosters personal development and maturity.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Beyond warm hospitality, I am glad to share some of my time and knowledge about the destination to enhance their experience: places to visit, restaurants, and all sort of tips.
