About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Achieve complete and total happiness. It's sorta one of those lifelong deals.

ABOUT ME

Height: 181 centimeters; Weight: 72,574 grams.

I've noticed a lot of people say things like, "I can't describe myself, it's better for you to decide." Well...I could describe myself. Pretty easily. For hours. Maybe days. But I only have so much space on this profile page, so I'll just leave you with two words: Steven. Seagal.

PHILOSOPHY

Sum ergo cogito. â

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is a dumb question. How many ways are there to participate in CS? I'll give you a hint: I'm not the head rodeo clown.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted and surfed. Surfed and hosted. Surfed, hosted. Sporked.

Interests

Photography, writing, rock climbing, snowboarding, soccer/futbol, scuba diving, obscure music trivia, obsessive sports consumption, NBA ball-watching, failed poets, layman philosophers, and rampant disregarding of posted signage. Actively failing authors and quasi-talented painters also win high praise from me.

I've been arrested in some of these places, but not others:

Music, Movies & Books

Music I like a lot of stuff (indie, classic rock, jazz, hip hop, electronic, etc.) and hate some stuff (Nickelback). This website has some stats on the things I've listened to in the last few years: http://www.last.fm/user/Clemenjo/ BooksI used to read a lot more, and I would update this section with what I was currently reading, and what the last 5 books I had read were. But then I stopped reading so much, and this section become rather embarrassing. This website has some stats on the things I've read in the last few years: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/2519113-jordy-clementsMoviesI accidentally downloaded "Lost in Translation" in German, and felt bad when I gave up watching after a few minutes. I think it would have been an authentic existential experience. Oh well. And Art. Why isn't there an Art section?Wassily Kandinsky. Egon Schiele. Adolph Gottlieb. Rembrandt. Umberto Boccioni. Alberto Giacometti. Others, always coming and going...

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I've held a conversation 80 feet underwater in an airspace inside a sunken ship...witnessed an attempted murder riding in the back of a pickup truck in Guatemala...took a nap beneath the only palm tree on a white sand island in San Blas...rolled in the Tulip fields in the Netherlands...never stopped...

Teach, Learn, Share

You're going to surf on my couch and I'm going to teach you something in two or three days? I doubt it (but I respect your hutzpah).
