I am Jorge. At the moment it's quite early and I am sitting in a small cafe in Izmir drinking a warming chai, realizing that I really have to update my selfintroduction.
I just arrived this night. I finished my midterms at my ERASMUS university in Istanbul and felt like going for trip. I just grapped two books (govannis room - baldwin & there is a strangeness in my mind - pamuk) and took the nightbus. That's how I like to travel: spontaneously, with books and without planing, excited where I will end up. I am curious about meeting local people who know that certain places and whom I can ask for tips and just generally about there opinions and how they feel here. I think for this kind of travel-interest couchsurfing really suits. Of course not paying for an accomodation is another mainfactor. I really appreciate initiatives which make -in this case 'traveling'- more affordable and because of that for more people possible.
In Cologne I am studying now in my 5th semester social sciences. I am 21 years old. People describe me often as cheerfully, what I really appreciate.
While writing this text the sun came out and it's already bright outside. I think I will look for a sunny warm place, maybe in a park somewhere to get some sleep. Hopefully soon some one will answer my host-request positvely and I am able to ban my phone in the bottom of my backpack and just focussing on what is happening around me.
