I'm a student of development economics who loves grabbing a backpack and buying an airplane ticket every chance I have. Born and raised in Guatemala, I have worked or studied in New Mexico, Boston, New York, Chile, Portugal, the UK, and now I'm based in New Jersey most of the time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time, during a bus ride in Cambodia, I spent several hours talking to a Buddhist monk. The bus got delayed, and we ended up arriving to the village much later than previously planned. The monk invited me to stay at his monastery and spend the night. It was a short stay, but many pieces of our conversations that night remain with me until this day. I definitely learned the value of talking to strangers when traveling.
