Overview
About Me
My name is Jorge, and I’m from Mexico.
I love life with all its contrasts—the highs and the lows. For me, it’s not about collecting material things, but about collecting experiences. Traveling is my greatest passion; it’s what I enjoy the most in life.
I’m drawn to art and sports, and I truly treasure the time I spend with my family. I also value silence and moments of relaxation, especially when I can be close to nature.
I live in Frankfurt, a city that has taught me a lot and where I’ve also discovered many beautiful corners. I believe every place has its hidden gems—you just have to take the time to find them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I discovered Couchsurfing through my travels, and it has allowed me to meet incredible people and build lasting friendships. Some of the people I met on a trip later became friends for life.
I highly recommend it. I’ve used Couchsurfing in many countries, including Japan, Mexico, and across Europe, and I’ve always had wonderful experiences. Of course, like anything, there have been a few different experiences along the way, but overall, my impression of Couchsurfing is very positive
Interests
My interests include art, music, traveling, and sports—especially baseball and boxing. I also enjoy basketball and poker, of course.
I’m passionate about gastronomy. My favorite cuisine is probably Japanese, but I also love Mexican food. I’m a huge fan of tacos and deeply proud of my country. Mexico is an incredible place, and wherever I go, I carry it in my heart.
Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music, I enjoy a little bit of everything. My father is a true music lover, so I grew up with a very rich and diverse musical background. If I had to choose my favorite genres, I’d say I love soul and jazz. I also enjoy rap and hip hop—not so much gangsta rap, but the more melodic side of it. And I’m also really into electronic music.
My five favorite movies are The Godfather, Gladiator, The Pianist, The Shining, and Men of Honor.
My favorite books include Más cornadas da el hambre by Luis Spota, The Feast of the Goat by Mario Vargas Llosa, Hopscotch by Julio Cortázar, and Silk by Alessandro Baricco.
I’m also very interested in reading about mysticism, esotericism, and astrology—though those are books I prefer to keep to myself rather than share.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’d love to share my work with you. I enjoy painting and photography, but what inspires me the most is connecting with others—whether they are artists or simply people who share their travel experiences. Listening to those stories sparks my creativity and makes me feel inspired.
I truly believe the world is full of incredibly interesting people
Teach, Learn, Share
The Ouroboros is the serpent that devours its own tail, and I find its meaning truly beautiful. To me, meeting people feels very much like that cycle—you share, they share, you give, you receive. It’s an endless circle of exchange.
I really enjoy sharing and learning. Something that fascinates me is how younger generations carry such a deep understanding of technology, life, and a very different outlook on the world. I love learning from them.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Actually, I’ve moved around a lot and lived in many different places. It really depends on the location. What I can always offer, though, is good conversation, a comfortable space, maybe a tour to show local spots, and, of course, kindness and positive vibes.
