About Me

Hey there! I am Jorge from Bolivia. I recently moved to Hamburg to work for an architectural practice with projects in Latin America and parallel to continue learning German.

I have passion for all fields of design and photography, and I get inspired when traveling to different cities and having the opportunity to interact with people of different backgrounds. I also live abroad not only to enrich my career aspects, but to learn from a different cultural settings. Japan for example, was one of the most enriching experiences I've ever lived. If I weren't an architect, I would definitely be a sociologist.

There are other things in life that I really enjoy to do, for example:
-Enjoying good cheese and wine in the Viennese mountains "Heurigen"
-Cycling on my race bike "Rennrad" early in the morning to see the sunrise
-Travelling to High-Density cities like Tokyo, New York or Hong Kong
-Going to a Classical Music concert: Chopin and Rachmaninoff are my favorites
-I find Scandinavian landscapes and people a delight

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to get out of my comfort zone. I I keep in contact with every person that I hosted or I was hosted, and many of them became good friends of mine.
Why not opening yourself to the world?

Interests

I love sports! Swimming, biking, running, exploring

Music, Movies, and Books

Tough one.. Probably my favorite book has been The Alchemist; I know its an over-spoken classic, but I strongly identify myself with the story of this young boy. Other novels such as The Secret History by Donna Tartt have keened parts of my personality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going on a mountain trip to hike the Andes', our vehicle slipped in the snow and we almost fell into a 2,000m cliff... We had to carefully get out of the car (it was just a touch to fall down) and slowly put some rocks on one side to prevent it from falling down. Still alive to write this story!
