Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Jorge, and I am currently living in Madrid. I am writing my PhD in psychology and work in a juvenile center. I'm an easy going person and very social, always laughing and ready to talk, go for a walk or grab a couple of beers. My english is not my strength but I'm always up to improve it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing is a wonderful way to immerse in different cultures. I'm the type of person that avoids touristic attractions, restaurants recommended by Trip Advisor or fancy hotels. In my opinion, if you travel this way you don't really get to know the country, its culture, its food, etc.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big fan of movies and books. I'm always reading (as soon as I finish one book I start another) and love to discuss films (the meaning, the production, the image, etc.) with my friends.
My favourite books are anything written by Vladimir Nabokov or Ian McEwan and Dune by Frank Herbert.
My favourite movies are Carol and anything made by Wes Anderson or Pedro Almodovar.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Couchsurfing... just kidding ;) One of the most amazing things that I've done is a trip with my mother and brother to Thailand. We stayed almost a month visiting the country. In my family it's very common to travel as a regional citizens, so we usually take uncommon routes and eat at the most regional places.
Teach, Learn, Share
Spending time with me won't go unnoticed.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My incredible technique to cook a " tortilla española" and other spanish dishes.
