Figuring out what to do with this god d*amn life...
I grew up in Norway, but I've been living in Latvia for nine years now. Quite scary...
Beside hosting, I'm very happy to meet up for a coffee or a drink or whatever.
Let me also once and for all explain here why I am in Latvia. I explain this a zillion times a year and I'm quite tired of that, so if for some reason we are supposed to meet, I appreciate if you take the time to read this so I don't have to feel like a tape recorder.
I came to Latvia in September 2005 to work as a Norwegian teacher. Taught there for one school year, liked the place, disliked the job. Found a new job in a call center, which wasn't much better. I was doing some translation work on the side, and I got more and more of that until one day I said "It's quit o'clock!", so then I left that job to become a freelance translator and nothing else. Haven't regretted that for a second!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
To me, it's not important how people participate in CS. Not everyone needs to contribute... That said, I'm a moderator in the CS Latvia group, and I post a lot there. I am one of the organizers of the awesome meetings Riga Good Times and Riga Cool Times in Latvia.
I've couchsurfed in 13 countries, and hosted people from a lot more. I like trying to organize a CS hook-up in the countries I go to.
Travelling, random exploring, partying, socializing, meeting new people, soccer, sports et.c.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Metal, rock, pop, trance... Coheed and Cambria, Tool, Symphony X, Dream Theater, Muse, Tiesto.
Movies: I like most kinds of movies, but I'm not a big fan of comedies. Sometimes it's very refreshing to watch non-Hollywood movies.
Books: I don't read that many books, but I completed 'Pol Pot' and I'm quite proud of that!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen Machu Picchu, Angkor Wat and the Great Wall!
