I read a lot. Dystopias, Utopias, Cyberpunk, Victorian horror-romance, etc. My non-fiction interests change to whatever I'm interested in at the moment. This ranges a lot. I'm currently into reading about new religious movements, colonial India in the late 1700's, and economic development.

I've sat on ancient Khmer temple steps in North East Thailand, ate homemade chicken noodle soup in the foc'sle with the crew of a tallship, and drunkingly sang working man's songs in a punk house in Detroit.

I'm still messing around with how to brew soda. I've made lemon/lime soda, cranberry soda, and ginger ale. So far I've only had one fermentation bomb. I also make yogurt, which doesn't explode.
