Bicycling from Norway to South Africa

ABOUT ME

Coming from the pearl of southern Norway, Jørn has always been fond of outdoor life. In Mandal swimming or biking are pretty much the only ways to get around, and this has shaped Jørn in many ways. In sports he has been especially interested in snowboarding and underwater rugby, and in 2005/06 Jørn served a year in the navy as a Medic on the icebreaker KV Svalbard. This, combined with a semester at University of Cape Town, provides him with a decent amount of “latitude-experience” (hopefully coming in handy along the way). He recently finished his bachelors’ degree in Development Studies at the University of Oslo, and is now, after almost three years of planning, highly motivated to finally start the biking tour from North Cape, Norway, to Cape Agulhas, South Africa.
