About Me

I like to say I'm open minded, enjoy both deep and light-hearted conversation, environmentally and socially conscious, creative and lover of arts- love exploring galleries, museums, live music, good restaurants and food experiences, love nature and need to spend more time in it! I love to find opportunities to laugh but I'm also sensitive and relate very well to the meloncholy of Leonard Cohens music! Am friendly and really enjoy getting to know people but usually prefer one on one or small groups of friends or people rather than large groups.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A girl I just met was telling me all the great things about Couchsurfing- and she recommened I try it for my upcoming trip in Mexico.. I am always open to trying new things and I love the idea of meeting people from different parts of the world to experience life from a different viewpoint and cultural framework all the while seeing what remains the same and connects us as human beings! Will be happy to repay the favour and show people around Brisbane when I'm back!

Interests

All sorts of artistic/creative expression, spirituality/philosophy and personal/religious belief systems, nature and sustainable practices that try to take care of our planet, food- especially whole foods that are seasonal, fresh and healthy, love and kindness and a hope for a future that looks after the poor, disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our world rather than just making the rich richer!

Music, Movies, and Books

Ah too many to list but I'll just pick the first five that come to mind for each:
Music: Alabama Shakes, Leonard Cohen, Hozier,
Movies: Good documentaries (like Sugarman!) , Annie Hall, Avatar, Deadman, Lost in Translation
Books- Women who run with wolves, Murakami,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most amazing experience that happened to me was when I went and spent 3 weeks in the Amazon jungles of Peru. Changed my life completely!
