About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Buy a DeLorean and build a flux capacitor.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Santa Monica, California and moved to Kansas at a young age. I've spent most of my childhood in Emporia, KS and moved to Wichita for college. I've received my BFA in Painting and Drawing from Wichita State University in 2013 and currently thinking of going back school from a MFA in painting.

Besides the typical introduction of myself I'm a simple human who enjoys the beautiful subtleties of life and nature. I enjoy having a good time dancing and singing the night away, even if I look like a fool. I love all forms of art, biking, running and traveling. I'm a very open-minded, giving, silly, and adventurous person.

PHILOSOPHY

"Don't only practice your art, but force your way into its secrets, for it and knowledge can raise men to the divine." -Ludwig van Beethoven

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have a particular favorite genre of music. I'm open to whatever makes me dance or helps me focus while working in my painting studio. As for movies I enjoy a combination of adventure, drama, Sci-Fi, and comedy. Books? I honestly don't read novels or read much at all. However, when I do I prefer to indulge in a collection of poetry, philosophy, and any art related subjects. Currently I've been hooked on Rainer Rilke's poetry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing?... I've traveled the globe viewing art from all over the world which has been inspiring and influential; however, I believe biking my first century ride and then completing another 50 miles the next day for the Bike MS was truly an amazing, challenging and spiritual moment. It was one of the most solitude engagements I've had with my mind and body. There was something exciting when it was just me, my bike and the open road. Unknowing what obstacles I might encounter in the miles to come.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure...ask me something anyways and I'll do my best.
