About Me

Hey, I'm José from Lisbon, currently living in Porto, Portugal. I'm an entrepreneur with ventures across various industries, from transportation and warehousing to cutting-edge tech like blockchain and AI. I have a degree in Marketing, which plays a key role in all of my projects. While I’m a bit of a workaholic, I really do appreciate my downtime and make it a point to live life to the fullest.

People would describe me as rational and focused, but there’s definitely more to me than that! I have a real passion for exploring, whether that’s through travel or new business ideas.

In my downtime, I enjoy trying different cheeses, sipping on red wine in winter or a refreshing beer in summer, and I’m more into beach bars than sunbathing. I’m also a fan of boat trips and occasional parties when I’m not running my businesses. I’m a mix of a sightseer and a foodie, always on the lookout for great food and cool architecture to explore.

Lately, I’ve also gotten into dancing, particularly bachata. While I’m still a beginner, I love the feeling of learning something new and losing myself in the rhythm of the music. Dance has become a fun way to challenge myself and unwind at the same time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because it’s a unique way to explore the world. For me, traveling isn’t just about seeing new places—it’s about diving into local culture, making connections, and creating meaningful experiences. Through Couchsurfing, I get to feel at home wherever I go, and it fosters a real sense of global community. It also takes me back to my Erasmus days, which were some of the best times of my life. The exchange of stories, experiences, and cultures helps me grow as both a traveler and a person.

Couchsurfing perfectly aligns with my passion for travel, meeting new people, and lifelong learning. I’m excited for all the new memories, friends, and amazing experiences to come.
