About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Parenting, doing dishes, gardening, trying to be a decent person. Working toward a career in Art Therapy.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short , it's better to live with an embarrassing story rather than regrets.

I live simply and slowly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm happy to share a meal with a couch surfer, if I was surfing I would do the dishes in return. I'm offering a safe warm dry place to sleep, use of the bathroom and a bit of conversation. I think couchsurfing is actually a really empowering way to travel, and its based on a delicate exchange of trust and respect.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All the couchsurfers Ive met have been really open and sharing , have always made my life that bit more interesting.

I started up this profile with my friend Myriam, we hosted together when we were in Limerick Art College.

I'd like to use cs myself to travel with my daughter, hotels are gone so expensive I think it's sad that would put you off travelling. It's a nice way for solo travellers to have a bit of company and have a local's guide to a new place.

ONLY BAD EXPERIENCE ON COUCHSURFING

Is having strangers message me asking to hang out and leaving me nasty references. Ladies - be careful and aware that you've got to use your judgement when meeting strangers for the first time. I usually meet hosts in a public place first of all to make sure they are who they say they are and will invite them to my home if I am sure I can trust them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently enjoying Nathan Fielder tv series!

Our house is full of books; I particularly like reading strong female authors that inspire me to write too.
Favourite authors Olga Tzorcak, Doireann Ni Ghriofa and Claire Louise Bennet

We have several instruments in the house, I play the piano most.
