CURRENT MISSION
Walk across a tight rope above the raging Mekong River while texting!
ABOUT ME
I enjoy good conversation, meeting new people, and making new friends. I am open to receptive to new ideas. I value sharing laughs and having fun. I enjoy being outdoors. A hike through a forest is refreshing. I also appreciate walking through a city taking in the built world. I like immersing myself in a new place and value biological and cultural diversity.
I love the sound of drums and the sound of the guitar. I can strum a few chords and play a few riffs on the guitar. I can keep some rhythm on the djembe. I am learning how to dance as well.
I am at the intermediate level with my Spanish language skills and am trying to advance them.
My sleep-wake cycle synchronizes to the rhythm of the sun. I am active during the day and go to bed around 10 pm.
I do not really eat out. I usually prepare my own food and eat plant-heavy whole foods. I ate a vegan diet for 10 months.
I appreciate the academic disciplines of psychology, anthropology, and philosophy. Topics that interest me include health, fitness, nature, culture, and spirituality.
Life is short, but there is so much we can do in our lives. I strive to make every day count. I try to make the best of what I have and view others and life situations in a good light.
I look forward to meeting you!

Disfruto de buena conversación. Me encanta reir.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have an eclectic taste in music. I enjoy music from a variety of categories as well as languages, for example, Arabic and Spanish music.
Movies: I generally watch documentaries. I also enjoy true story movies.
Books: I primarily read nonfiction. For example, The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner, The Blue Zones by Dan Buettner, The Talent Code by Daniel Coyle, and This Is Your Brain on Music by Daniel J. Levitin.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing ancient ruins in Oaxaca and Puebla, Mexico and walking the same lands as men and women long before me and contemplating what life was like then is an experience I remember. It is interesting to ponder the knowledge they had, their abilities, and accomplishments.
I enjoyed hiking some trails in the forests near Seattle, Vancouver, and North Vancouver. The hikes provided some great moments to connect with the natural world and reflect on existence.
