CURRENT MISSION

Well in a few words, my current mission in life is to continue living for another 3 to 5 years in Russia (with my wife and my daughter). My wife Lenara is a gynecology surgeon in one of the most modern hospitals in Kazan, hence the reason why we live here. As an international business development consultant, I am starting to do some cool business projects with the local government in various industries such as Agriculture and IT; I am also a business ENG language instructor to directors of local companies and government officials . I want and am always ready to meet new people. In life and business it is all about networking!! :)

Easy going, super friendly, determined, loyal, respectful, honest, reliable and a someone who loves to lead by example.

PHILOSOPHY

As explained before, I believe in setting a good example to those close (and not so close) to me.....but most importantly....leading by example!
What goes around comes around...and this Karmic approach is something I will always live by. My heart and soul feel best when I behaved and acted by listening to my inner voice from the bottom of my heart, and whether I was corresponded or not, makes no difference. My little positive effort has been set into the universe and that eases my soul.
It takes the same amount of energy to be and think positive...than to be and think negative....so it is a NO-BRAINER!!!!......:)))

In life I participate by being pro-active.......I like to make things happen and assist others in the process :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In spite of the fact that I have known about CS for several years...and in spite of the fact that I have referred at least a dozen of friends and acquaintances (who are active travelers) in the past 24 months, as well as participating in several CS activities in the Kazan group (mainly last year)...I am yet to host anyone or request for a couch.....until today when I am about to travel to Minsk (Belorussia) to wait for my new Russian visa...and I thought..."well, what a perfect time to become a real CS!!!"
Nevertheless, and I know it might not count in reality...throughout my life I have hosted friends, acquaintances and friends of friends and acquaintances (without knowing them at all until I picked them up at the airport) for dozens of times.......I have had the chance to travel through out Canada, USA, Mexico, Latin America and most of Europe in the past 20 years for pleasure or business reasons....and having met many people, has lead for me to have stayed at their places (sometimes during return visits)....or most importantly having hosted them (or some of their friends) in many of the cities I have lived....it is the nature and Karma of the global citizen...the world traveler.....so I know that I am, have always been...and will always be (an unofficial or official) CouchSurfer!!!! :)

Musica, film e libri

I do not have the time to try to gather a list of my preference in movies, music or books.....as it would be too lengthy...suffice to say that in have an eclectic approach to life...and to enriching my soul through reading books, listening to music and watching films.
Depending on my mood, I will access my library of music from Classical to Opera, to Blues to Jazz, from Rock 'n Roll to House and Psychodelic Trance (and much more in between)...however, to work on my consulting projects I prefer Classical music, to cook I love Jazz and female voice singers and to dance.....well...anything with a great beat!
As per books is concerned, I enjoy biographical content (to learn from others), as well as historical (wince I believe that by understanding our historical past we can aspire to a better future). But I am also a sucker for romantic novels.
And pertaining to movies, I am not a huge Hollywood fan...I am not turned on by big names, with uberly inflated budgets, excessive special effects and poor content and not always great acting delivery......I KNOW THERE ARE ALWAYS EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULE.....however, I prefer international (and many times Independent) cinema: Canadian, Australian, French, British, Spanish, Mexican, Italian, German to mention a few of my faves......and I am also a great fan of Documentaries!!!

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I am very glad that life has given me the opportunity to see how other people live in this world.....from my neighbours to people far and away which I never thought I would have a chance to meet.....I find this quite an extraordinary feat, as many people never get to meet more than their next door neighbour...and not even that!
However, the most incredible thing is watching our daughter Maya Sophia grow day by day (today she is 4 years old....and counting)....I love to see the expression in her eyes when something astonishes her (and wants to share it with my wife and/or I)...and I love the chance (every and anytime I have) to show her life as it goes by!!!!

From the tangible and being very skilled at cooking, dancing and fluent in several languages (Spanish, French, Italian and English) I would be very glad to share any of my knowledge and skills with anyone willing to learn...
And intangibly, my life has been incredibly interesting so far and it has taught me many important lessons and I would gladly love to compare stories or share some of mine over a nice glass of wine in order to shed some light into someone else's life situation....learning from each other's experiences is one of the best and most fun ways to learn about life...:)
