About Me

CURRENT MISSION
I never took a sabbatical break after university and I always regretted it. Now I finally took the chance and I am travelling around South America with my girlfriend - https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2006595604 :)

ABOUT ME

I am a 29-year-old traveller. Between trips I happen to work at cool software companies.

When I explore a new city I like to walk around it, meet people, discover about its night-life, seeing a few museums, doing outdoor activities, etc which I find much more enjoyable when doing them with someone who shares similar interests and it's happy to hang around their city with a foreigner.

I'm very easy going, sociable, open minded and friendly.

PHILOSOPHY

My life philosophy is to enjoy life responsibly as much as I can, there is a future around the corner, and that should be kept in mind, but until you get to that future don't waste a single second of your life, because it is tooooo shooort and circumstances change, so don't leave for tomorrow what you want to do today, because tomorrow might be too late...

My philosophy about travelling:
A lot of people just think about sightseeing when they travel, I think that's a cool way of going through that place's history and its great, but travelling is much more exciting to know the place through the local people. Travelling is about knowing the locals, knowing their circumstances, meeting new people, sharing experiences in remote places and sharing your personal experience and culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I admit that I haven't been very active in the community over the past couple of years after we moved into a tiny apartment in Stockholm and I have been to busy involved in other projects.
I am still happy to meet up for beers or coffee, and I will retake the hosting once we have more space :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've taken around Madrid a quite a few Couch Surfers.
I arranged a non official CS meeting to go for tapas and go out.
I surfed 4 couches in Vilnius, Lithuania and Riga, Latvia and Poland.
Cs-urfed in Thailand.
Meet people in Indonesia and Myanmar.
Some CS meet ups in Stockholm
I participated in a few CS weekly meetings from the Madrid Group Riga group and the Buenos Aires group.
I hosted quite a lot of people since I moved to Stockholm!
My record was one night where I mistakenly accepted 9 fellow travelers (got the wrong dates) but we still managed to provide a soft sleeping surface for everyone to sleep on :)
