I'm from Minnesota and currently live in Minneapolis.

I lived in China for 4 years as a kid but have mainly lived around the midwestern US.
I went to college at Northwestern University and studied philosophy and economics, and wrote a thesis on philosophy of mind. I spent a summer in Argentina and another in Spain and Morocco. After college, I hiked the 2700 mile Pacific Crest Trail in the western US. I enjoy camping trips and nature photography, and I enjoy international travel because of how much I learn when I visit other places. I enjoy listening to music, especially anything new and interesting. During the lockdown I spent a lot of time exploring Chicago looking for street art, and have probably seen more street art there than almost anybody. I once went on a ten day meditation retreat, which is the hardest thing I've ever done. I spend a lot of time reading about other countries, and I think I'm relatively informed about most places. I also enjoy board games, especially chess.
I know a lot about the area, as I'm always exploring cool new places.

I'm willing to show you around Minneapolis and the surrounding area, but I'm also OK if you stay with me but do your own thing.

I have upper intermediate level Spanish.

I'm generally a night owl (OK if you're not)

Hola, me llamo Joseph. Vivo en Minnesota, EEUU. Hablo español a un nivel intermedio alto (B2). No hablo fluidamente, pero estoy aprendiendo. También puedo ayudar con aprendizaje de ingles.

Acabo de graduar con una maestría en economía. Vivía en China por 4 años cuando era niño, pero principalmente he vivido alrededor del norte central de los EEUU. Estudie filosofía y economía en Universidad de Northwestern, y escribí un tesis en filosofía del mente. Pasé el verano en Argentina, y otro en España y Marruecos. Después de universidad, caminé el Sendero del Cresta del Pacifico, un sendero de 4000 kilómetros en el oeste de los EEUU . Disfruto viajes de acampar, y fotografía, y me gusta viajes internacionales porque aprendo muchísimo. Me gusta escuchar musica en ingles y también en español (y otras idiomas), especialmente algo nuevo y interesante. Durante la pandemia, exploraba Chicago mucho, y buscaba muchísimo arte callejero–es probably que he visto más arte callejero allá que casi alguien. Una vez fui un retiro de meditación de 10 días, y fue la cosa más difícil en mi vida. Leo sobre otros países mucho, y creo que soy relativamente informado sobre la mayoría de lugares. También me gustan juegos de mesa, especialmente ajedrez.

Cuando viajo, me gusta explorar la ciudad y aprender cuánto más se pueda sobre el área.

Generalmente soy noctambulo, pero soy flexible. Estoy vacunado contra covid-19.
