I'm from Minnesota and currently live in Chicago. The below was written around 2022.

I lived in China for 4 years as a kid but have mainly lived around the midwestern US.
I went to college at Northwestern University and studied philosophy and economics, and wrote a thesis on philosophy of mind. I spent a summer in Argentina and another in Spain and Morocco. After college, I hiked the 2700 mile Pacific Crest Trail in the western US. I enjoy camping trips and nature photography, and I enjoy international travel because of how much I learn when I visit other places. I enjoy listening to music, especially anything new and interesting. During the lockdown I spent a lot of time exploring Chicago looking for street art, and have probably seen more street art there than almost anybody. I once went on a ten day meditation retreat, which is the hardest thing I've ever done. I spend a lot of time reading about other countries, and I think I'm relatively informed about most places. I also enjoy board games, especially chess.
I know a lot about the area, as I'm always exploring cool new places.

I'm willing to show you around Chicago and the surrounding area, but I'm also OK if you stay with me but do your own thing.

I have upper intermediate level Spanish.

I'm generally a night owl (OK if you're not)

I'm vaccinated against covid-19.
