About Me
Hey there! I'm Joseph Sani – part-time adventurer, full-time human. I love meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and figuring out how to say "thank you" in every language (currently fluent in about five versions... and still counting).
I'm super chill, easy to talk to, and I never say no to good food, random conversations, or a spontaneous adventure. I can cook (survival-level meals), clean (only the visible mess), and offer great company. I also give five-star reviews in life—unless you steal the blanket, then we need to talk.
I’m based in the beautiful, spicy, sun-soaked city of Mombasa – where the beaches are hot, the Swahili vibes are hotter, and the food? Let’s just say your taste buds better be ready. I love showing guests around the coast—whether it’s Fort Jesus, Old Town’s narrow streets, a dhow ride, or just chilling by the beach with madafu (coconut water) and deep philosophical talks... or gossip, whichever comes first.
I’m a huge fan of action movies. If it has explosions, car chases, or a guy walking away slowly from a fire, I’m watching it with popcorn and a serious expression.
On a deeper note, I’m a genuinely kind and caring person. I believe the best part of life is in sharing—stories, smiles, meals, and moments. Whether you're a stranger or a friend I haven’t met yet, I try to make everyone feel welcome and at home. Hosting isn’t just about giving someone a bed—it’s about giving someone a sense of belonging, even if it’s just for a night.
Also passionate about God and the kingdom come agenda, "Jesus to be glorified in all the earth" I believe that life outside the spirit is not complete.

Let’s connect, laugh, and make some memories (preferably ones that don’t end with us getting chased by goats... long story).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe the best part of travel isn’t just the places—it’s the people you meet along the way. Hotels are nice, sure, but they don’t offer shared stories, spontaneous laughter, or that feeling of connection you get from staying with someone who actually lives there.
I love meeting people from all walks of life, hearing about different cultures, and sharing my own perspective from right here in Mombasa. Hosting gives me the chance to travel the world without ever leaving home—and I think that’s pretty amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts
If I’m your guest, expect someone easygoing, respectful, and always ready to help. I can share great conversation, positive vibes, and probably a funny story or two. I don’t mind helping around the house, sharing meals, or just being good company when you're up for it (and quiet when you’re not).
If you’re my guest, I’m happy to show you around Mombasa and the coast—hidden spots, must-try food joints, or those random places only locals know. I can also share Swahili phrases that might impress people (or confuse them—it’s 50/50), and a couch, mat, or mattress that comes with kindness and good energy.
