About Me
I can be a little introverted and shy when we first meet, but once I feel comfortable, I’m open, curious, and happy to share conversations about all sorts of things.
Originally from Hong Kong, I’ve now moved to the UK and call it home. I’m currently enjoying learning more about our European neighbours — their cultures, habits, and ways of life.
I’d describe myself as a friendly and easy-going person. I’m curious by nature and like trying many things, even if I’m still very much a work in progress — whether that’s photography, singing, or filmmaking. For me, it’s more about the joy of learning and experimenting than being perfect at it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Having moved from a former UK-ruled city to the UK, I’ve realised that it’s the people who truly make a city what it is. Not just the landmarks, but the small, everyday details — how do they structure their day, where people do their grocery shopping, what do they eat, what music do they listen to, even how often they bathe 😂.
Having hosted several people from different parts of the world has made these everyday differences even more noticeable to me. I find it genuinely interesting to observe how such small habits can vary so much from place to place, and it wouldn't be possible without living together.
Travelling to a city without knowing anyone there often feels a bit incomplete to me. You can see a place, but you don’t really know it until you’ve connected with the people who live there. Couchsurfing, to me, is about those human connections that turn a city from a destination into an experience.
